Some of my favorite business thinkers

There are certain people whose every word I cleave to. When that person speaks, I listen.

How does someone’s name make it to this list? It usually starts with a successful person saying something that I really, really like. And if that happens again, and again, and again, I’ll add that person’s name here (in no particular order):

Patrick Collison

Patrick Collison is an Irish entrepreneur from County Tipperary. He is the co-founder and CEO of Stripe, which he started with his younger brother, John, in 2010. He won the 41st Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in 2005 at the age of sixteen. (Wiki)

Marc Andreesen

Marc Lowell Andreessen is an American entrepreneur, investor, and software engineer. He is the co-author of Mosaic, the first widely used Web browser; co-founder of Netscape; and co-founder and general partner of Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. (Wiki)

Peter Drucker

Peter Ferdinand Drucker was an Austrian-born American management consultant, educator, and author, whose writings contributed to the philosophical and practical foundations of the modern business corporation. (Wiki)

Tobias Lütke

Tobias Lütke is the German Canada-based founder and CEO of Shopify, a commerce company based in Ottawa, Canada. He has served on the core team of the Ruby on Rails framework and has created open source libraries such as Active Merchant. (Wiki)

Brad Feld

Brad Feld is an American entrepreneur, author, blogger, and venture capitalist at Foundry Group in Boulder, Colorado, a firm he started with partners Seth Levine, Ryan McIntyre, and Jason Mendelson. Daniel Stewart Butterfield is a Canadian billionaire businessman, best known for co-founding the photo-sharing website Flickr and the team-messaging application Slack. (Wiki)

Yvon Chouinard

Yvon Chouinard is an American rock climber, environmentalist, and outdoor industry billionaire businessman. His company, Patagonia, is known for its environmental focus. Chouinard is also a surfer, kayaker, and falconer and is particularly fond of tenkara fly-fishing. (Wiki)

Naval Ravikant

Naval Ravikant is an Indian American entrepreneur and investor. Naval is the co-founder, chairman and former CEO of AngelList. He has invested in over 100 companies including Uber, FourSquare, Twitter, SnapLogic, Yammer, and Clearview AI. Ravikant is also a Fellow of the Edmund Hillary Fellowship. (Wiki)

Brian Chesky

Brian Joseph Chesky is an American billionaire technology entrepreneur who co-founded the peer to peer lodging service Airbnb. Chesky is the CEO of the company and was named one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People of 2015”. (Wiki)
